Steadfast like a bison.
That’s how a client once described me.
She said, “You showed up in my company like a bison. Steadfast, strong, wanting to help. It gave us the confidence to move forward.”
That image stuck.
I even bought a buffalo painting in Boulder (home of the Colorado Buffaloes), and my son later gave me a small bison sculpture that sits on my desk.
Here’s the thing: I’ve never resonated with the term “spirit animal.” But I do resonate with values that anchor us.
In business and in life, we need symbols that remind us of who we want to be. For me, the bison does that.
For you, it might not be an animal. Maybe it’s a phrase, a mentor, or a story you carry. But it’s worth asking:
What characteristics do you want to express more of in your work? And what’s the reminder that keeps you showing up that way?

📌 P.S. For me, the bison is about calm presence. A reminder that inner knowingness is often the best form of strength.
